Our Beginning
The North Florida Sewing Center had it beginnings as a Girl Scout Journey Project in 2013. The troop decided they wanted to make reuseable feminine hygiene products but none of the girls knew how to sew or how to go about making pads. They partnered with a local quilt guild to learn to sew and make pads. Progress was slow, but they persevered. We became a Days for Girls center and while affiliated with them (2015-2023), we distributed over 20,000 feminine hygiene kits around the world.
