With the volume of quilts and pads made at the Center, the sewing center produces quite an amount of tiny scraps that can’t be used for other purposes. We sometimes receive fabrics, such as upholstery fabric that is not suitable for pads, bags, or quilts. We use this heavier fabric to make animal beds. The beds are filled with tiny fabric scraps to make a comfortable resting place for our beloved pets or other animals.

We donate beds to the Alachua County Animal Shelter, Puppy Hill Farm Animal Rescue, and Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo, to name a few. 

We usually have beds in various sizes. Beds are free for the asking. Come by the center and pick one up for your favorite pet.  Orr if you know of a group or agency that can use them, please contact us through our email.
